Prysmian Group, the worldwide leader of the energy and telecommunication cables sector with its 106 factories operating in 50 countries, 25 R&D centers and approximately 29,000 employees, draws attention to the importance of occupational safety with a new approach. Aiming at sustainable development with its social responsibility projects, Prysmian Group also aims to emphasize the importance of occupational safety not only in the workplace but in all areas of life with its "Zero and Beyond" vision, which is committed to making its workplaces safer and better.

Occupational accidents can occur not only at workplaces, but also in all areas of life as a result of unconscious approaches. Accidents that can occur in both work and private areas reveal that occupational safety awareness should not be limited to the workplace. Creating new projects in the field of occupational safety, which is one of the most important links of its sustainability chain, Prysmian Group taking all these risks into consideration, is putting its signature under a new awareness with its "Zero and Beyond" vision to draw attention to the importance of occupational safety.

Stating that they aim to create a prevention culture that integrates the health and well-being of their employees in the workplace and beyond, the worldwide cable industry leader Prysmian Group's Turkey operation Türk Prysmian Kablo's CEO Cinzia Farisè said: "Our 'Zero and Beyond' approach is based on the belief that human life and health are more valuable than anything else. And this is particularly true during this difficult period, where pandemic can represent an opportunity to boost corporate social responsibility: our actions today are a sign of consciousness and responsibility both for our health, that of our loved ones and for the whole community. For this reason, as Türk Prysmian Kablo, we believe that it is everyone's responsibility to lead the improvement of occupational safety in line with our sustainability perspective.”

"While the injury rates in the workplace are falling, the rate of unconscious accidents at home is increasing"

Emphasizing that the vision of "Zero and Beyond" is a commitment to not want to harm and to make the working areas safer and better place, Cinzia Farisè, Türk Prysmian Kablo’s CEO, expressed her thoughts as follows: "We believe that improvement is always possible, that we can improve continuously and that we can always do better by protecting the health and safety of our employees. While the injury rates in the workplace are falling, we are sadly witnessing the increase in unconscious accidents at home. This reminds us seriously that job security should not be limited to the workplace. Therefore, we want to draw the attention of our employees to one of the most important basic values, occupational safety. Each of our employees is very important to us. This value is always the same for us whether we are working at work, enjoying free time at home or traveling. Therefore, we know the value of occupational safety and always act in this direction."

"More than zero is unacceptable in the scope of our Zero and Beyond approach"

Emphasizing that it is everyone's responsibility to lead the improvement of occupational safety, Türk Prysmian Kablo’s CEO Cinzia Farisè continued her words as follows: “'Zero and Beyond'; a philosophy that includes job security in all areas of our lives and everything we do; it is a common value that we share as part of our responsibility towards people and the universe at home, in society and everywhere. Within our "Zero and Beyond" vision, we believe that occupational safety is a common part of an effective organization; because we see less as unacceptable. We are committed to providing a healthy, risk-free environment for our employees and at the same time encourage each of them to take a responsible and active attitude in all aspects of their lives, ensuring their well-being and the safety of their families.”
